The purpose of the Weatherization Assistance Program is to assist low-income homeowners and renters, by providing energy conservation measures to their homes. This can be done by a variety of applications, for example, air sealing house leaks, adding insulation to their attics, walls, and perimeter foundations, cleaning, tuning, and or replacing furnaces and hot water heaters, installing low-flow water measures, and testing for carbon monoxide, to name a few. The program is intended to reduce national energy consumption and to reduce the impact of high fuel and electricity costs for low-income families.
The Energy Assistance Program is here to help families in need with the high cost of home energy burden. Housing Choice Voucher Program- Section 8 Housing : C.A.S.I. contracts with Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) to provide rental housing assistance to low-income individuals and families. Participants find housing to fit their specific needs/desires in the rental market. Eligibility is based on HUD income guidelines and assistance is provided in the form of vouchers.
